6th Annual Race for Independence – July 4

Come celebrate the independence of our country and the people served by Reach Inc. by joining us for a 1K, 5K, or 10K run or walk on the trails of north Bozeman.  All proceeds from this event will go to Reach Inc., a local non-profit that helps adults with developmental disabilities to lead more independent, fulfilling lives. Scroll down for more information!

Registration: Forms are available at the Reach Inc. Work Center (322 Gallatin Park Drive, Bozeman, MT 59715) Monday- Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, at the Bozeman Running Company,  or register online at: www.racemontana.com.  Registration will be limited to the first 500 registrants.  Please register early to ensure a space.

Race Packet Pick-up: Race packet pick-up will be at the Reach Inc. Work Center Tuesday July 2, Wednesday July 3 from 8am to 8pm, and at 7am on race day.  We recommend that you pick up your packet before race day to ensure that you are ready for the 8 a.m. start.

Race Information, Date and Time: Thursday, July 4, 2013 with an 8 a.m. start time.  D-tag timing will be used.  Walkers are welcome.  The race begins at the Reach Inc. Work Center: 322 Gallatin Park Drive,  Bozeman, MT 59715.  Parking will be available at Reach Inc. See below for the Race Day Map as well as our Sponsors!

Refreshments: Water is available at aid stations on the course and snacks and drinks are provided at the start and finish.

Prizes: All sorts of prizes will be given away, including  running-related prizes, edible prizes, pet-related prizes, and comfort related prizes. There will also be medals for the top three finishers in each age group and all children who participate in the 1K.

Tee-shirts: Optional blue, wicking tee-shirts available to both runners and non-runners on a first come, first served basis for $10.

Additional Information: Indoor bathrooms available before and after the race.  Please, no dogs on the course.  The 10K and 5K are loop courses that start and finish at Reach Inc.  The 10K is a double loop of the 5K course.  The course will follow the Bozeman Trail System north of Reach Inc. in the Cherry Creek and East Gallatin Recreation Area.  Detailed course maps will be included in the race packet.  For more course information, you can call the Dee Metrick at: 406-587-1271 or email her at: dee@reachinc.org.
